Job description

Permanent | Nurse Practitioner – Neonatology

Join a leading health system as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), providing advanced neonatal care in a collaborative environment. This permanent position offers the opportunity to practice in a Level III NICU setting, working closely with attending pediatricians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.

Deliver medical care for newborns under pediatric supervision.

Assess, plan, and evaluate neonatal care.

Order and interpret labs, x-rays, and other diagnostics.

Write orders for medications, IV therapy, parenteral nutrition, and blood products.

Attend high-risk deliveries, resuscitate, and stabilize newborns.

Conduct independent transports between hospital systems, including NICUs.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development.

Serve as a consultant and resource to nursing, administrative, and medical staff.

Lead and participate in nursing education and competency assessments.

Complete reports, charting, and timely billing.

Role model for professionalism, patient confidentiality, and safety.

Board Certified in Neonatal NP/NNP – REQUIRED

Accredited NNP Program Completion – REQUIRED

Active Michigan License – REQUIRED

BLS & NRP Certifications – REQUIRED

Minimum 2 Years of NICU Experience – REQUIRED

Strong clinical knowledge, competencies, and decision-making skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
