Pediatric Dietitian - Pediatric Dietician
Schedule
- Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend
- On-call required, including weekends/holidays
- Contracted hours options: 36 / 40 / 48 hours per week
Assignment Details
- Contract length: minimum 10 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: varies by contract; facility may call off up to 3 times
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year pediatric inpatient experience (first-timers accepted)
- Required: RD/RDN, BLS certification
- Pending state license accepted at time of submission
- Key skills: Enteral Nutrition and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) management, nutrition assessments, TPN and enteral calculations
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and reassessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement nutritional care plans, including enteral nutrition and TPN management.
- Perform TPN calculations for macro and micro nutrients.
- Monitor tube-feeding advancements and stabilize feeding protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient nutrition.
Compliance / Notes
- Local candidate rule: clinicians living within 100 miles are not accepted
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Compliance documents due approximately 10 days prior to start
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Request time off (RTO) rules: No RTO during the first 7 days or on the last day of contract; RTO longer than 7 days requires approval.
