Job description

DIRECTOR OF NURSING

OVERVIEW:

This nursing facility is looking for a well-qualified, dynamic, organized, Professional RN to join our team as the Director of Nursing, Full-Time. Our dedicated health care team is an integral part of the compassionate quality care we provide for our residents and their families.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As the Director of Nursing, you will function in an administrative as well as clinical capacity to ensure that resident care is delivered in accordance with the highest standards of care, policies and procedures.

  • Provides leadership and direction for the nursing staff while being responsible for the overall management of the Nursing Department.

  • Ensures nursing staff's compliance with all facility and nursing policies and procedures as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • You will meet daily with the Assistant Director of Nursing/ Nurse Managers to review clinical issues, staffing, quality assurance trends and resident and family needs.

  • You will meet regularly with the Administrator and other Department Heads.

  • Supervises all nursing staff in the facility

  • Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedure

  • Overseeing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff

  • Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current

  • Overseeing nursing employee conduct

  • Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility

  • Assessing the health needs of each resident

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

  • A current license, in good standing, to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS

  • Proven track record of Managerial excellence in a Long-Term Care Facility

  • Provide Quality Care and services.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Must be CPR/BLS certified

Pay: $115,000 - $120,000
