Compensation

This position is hourly and the hourly rate is $26.44/hour.

Position Overview

The Sales Accelerator Program (SAP) is a 6-month early career development program designed for individuals interested in building a career in commercial and manufacturing sales. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting Grainger's field sales organization, focusing on customer acquisition, account growth, and value-based selling.

This is a hybrid role with anticipated start dates aligned to two cohorts: January 2027 and June 2027

Program Experience

Participants will:

  • Partner with Field Account Representatives to support territory planning, customer strategy, and growth opportunities.
  • Engage with customers to understand needs and recommend solutions
  • Develop and execute a strategy to expand customer relationships and drive value
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as National Accounts, Sales Enablement and eCommerce 
  • Track customer activity and performance metrics using Salesforce

 

Post-Program Placement

Upon successful completion, participants may be placed into an outside field sales role within the United States, with a focus on the Western and Northeast regions. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree completed between December 2026 and May 2027
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to relocate within the U.S.
  • Ability to travel (15-20%)
  • Ability to work remotely with a dedicated workspace
  • No visa sponsorship available
  • Leadership experience (campus, athletics, or team-based environments)
  • Experience in goal-oriented or performance-driven roles
  • Customer-facing experience (retail, service, or internships)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Interest in a long-term career in commercial and manufacturing sales
