The Chicago Corporate Office for CNA Insurance is looking for an experienced Paralegal with insurance experience to assist with regulatory filings, research and general corporate matters.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares documents to be filed with regulatory agencies including but not limited to Departments of Insurance and Secretary of States.
  • Prepares board of director related materials, certifications and related documents, as requested.
  • Performs legal research which may include use of automated legal research services to resolve legal questions.
  • Provides analysis on reports and research, as requested.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required:
  • In depth knowledge and application of legal research as well as the insurance industry.
  • Strong internal/external customer interactive skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business related software systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional phone etiquette.
Education & Experience Required:
  • Completion of an accredited paralegal program, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Typically, a minimum of five years paralegal experience.
  • Minimum of three years insurance experience. Familiarity with the UCAA application processes a plus.

In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $47,000 to $78,000 annually.Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
