The Opportunity
The Informatics Senior Program Manager will work out of our Willis Tower, IL Lake Forest, IL or Charlottesville, VA locations in the Informatics Business Unit in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics.

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

What You'll Work On

This is a highly visible role responsible for leading two strategic, multi-year Informatics transformation programs: An enterprise Cloud-based platform implementation and Salesforce re-platforming initiative. The role is accountable for end-to-end program delivery from concept through deployment, ensuring alignment across Informatics stakeholders, business leaders, and external vendors. Success is measured by delivering both programs on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

  • Provide day-to-day program leadership, governance, and decision-making across two concurrent transformation programs.

  • Lead complex multi-year programs from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, and cost.

  • Define program strategy, roadmap, milestones, resources, and success metrics.

  • Drive enterprise Cloud solution implementation including migration strategy, architecture alignment, and deployment.

  • Lead Salesforce re-platforming including redesign, migration, data integrity, and business adoption.

  • Manage cross-functional collaboration across R&D, IT, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Business teams.

  • Direct and oversee vendor and system integrator performance, including contracts, deliverables, and SLAs.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, and issues.

  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking to ensure cost control.

  • Establish governance frameworks, including steering committees and executive reporting.

  • Lead Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and ensure effective team execution.

  • Ensure compliance with Informatics Quality Systems and global regulatory standards.

  • Drive stakeholder alignment and executive communication across all levels.

  • Oversee documentation, reporting, and program deliverables.

  • Conduct technical and operational risk assessments across systems and platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems required.

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in program or project management.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-year transformation programs.

  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM transformation initiatives.

  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder leadership experience.

  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or diagnostics preferred.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

  • Ability to travel to Lake Forest, IL for business meetings as needed. This role is on site and is not hybrid nor remote.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA.

  • PMP, or Agile certification.

  • Experience with SDLC.

  • At least 10 years of experience in Program/Project management including increased responsibility in large scale multi-million-dollar programs/projects.
