Job title: Charge RN – Main Operating Room (Full-Time, Day Shift)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Salary: $147,064 to $202,157 per year

Job Summary:

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Main Operating Room provides clinical leadership and coordination for daily operations within the operating room. This role oversees patient flow, supports nursing staff, ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care, and serves as a resource for the surgical team. The Charge RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote efficient workflow and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and coordinate daily operations in the Main Operating Room
  • Assign and oversee nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient care coverage
  • Support and mentor staff while promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care
  • Coordinate patient flow and prioritize surgical cases to optimize efficiency
  • Respond to clinical issues and provide guidance during complex surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certificate within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
