The team is responsible for telephone number inventory management, code and block administration, customer onboarding, compliance, reporting, and operational process improvement. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external carriers, the team ensures the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of critical telecom numbering and routing services.
This role reports directly to Vice President within the Customer Support Operations division. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of carrier telephone number inventory resources, ensuring accuracy, availability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform telephone number inventory audits in order to reconcile discrepancies across internal and external systems.
  • Administer and maintain carrier's Codes/Blocks and perform ordering functions from NANPA System, including CLLI codes, Local Routing Numbers (LRNs), and associated routing records.
  • Maintain and validate updates to industry databases and routing guides, including LERG-related activities, to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance for NRUF and RND reports.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain operational reporting to provide visibility into inventory utilization, performance metrics, and operational trends.

  • Create, maintain, and improve process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze inventory utilization, forecast demand, and recommend strategies to optimize numbering resources.
  • Support automation and system integration activities, including database synchronization and API-driven processes; investigate operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth, customer activations, and operational excellence initiatives; partner with carriers to support inventory data migrations, operational maintenance, and service delivery initiatives.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 10+ years of experience in telecommunications operations, telephone number inventory management, code/block administration, network operations, customer onboarding, inventory audits, reporting, or related operational disciplines. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience required; STEM preferred.
  • Experience supporting or leading Telephone Number Inventory (TNI) management in the US and Canada, including customer onboarding, inventory audits, reporting functions, numbering resources, routing information, CLLI codes, Local Routing Numbers (LRNs), and related industry databases.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications numbering resources, routing processes, inventory lifecycle management, Number Portability standards, IPES, VoIP technologies, SIP, unified communications environments, and telecom regulatory frameworks, including Numbering Resource Optimization (NRO Guidelines), FCC (NRUF, RND), ATIS, NANPA, CNA, and NPAC.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, develop actionable recommendations, and identify opportunities for process optimization and operational improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively support cross-functional stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Telephone Number Inventory (TNI) management.
  • Experience with NANPA System, CLLI codes, Local Routing Numbers (LRNs), and associated routing records.
