The Coastal Construction Equipment Transportation & Logistics Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all equipment transportation, logistics, dispatching, fleet utilization, and delivery activities across multiple Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) locations. This role partners with Sales, Rental, Service, and Parts leadership to ensure equipment, attachments, and materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while supporting company growth objectives and customer satisfaction. The Transportation & Logistics Manager is responsible for developing logistics strategies, optimizing transportation resources, managing transportation personnel, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification(s)
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-location transportation and logistics operations.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking systems, and route optimization software.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • CDL preferred.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant transportation or logistics certifications are a plus.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead all transportation, dispatch, and logistics operations supporting equipment sales, rentals, service, and parts activities.
  • Develop and execute transportation and logistics strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Manage transportation staff, dispatchers, drivers, transportation coordinators, and third-party transportation providers.

  • Partner with Sales, Rental, Service, and Parts leaders to ensure transportation resources support customer and business needs.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate agreements with third-party carriers and logistics providers.
  • Support new branch openings, market expansions, and growth initiatives through transportation planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with the truck shop and maintenance teams to maximize fleet reliability and uptime.
  • Implement transportation technology solutions that improve visibility, communication, productivity, and reporting.
  • Prepare transportation performance reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Resolve transportation-related issues quickly while maintaining high levels of customer service.
