Nuclear Process Operator  -  Nuclear Fuel Services (BWXT)

Your Day to Day as a Nuclear Process Operator:

  • Prepare accurate and legible operating records associated with assigned job.
  • Must be able to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and special work instructions as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to recognize abnormal operating conditions, correct and report to supervisor in a timely and responsible manner.
  • Must be able to perform various mechanical functions as assigned.
  • Must have the ability to perform sampling procedures and to follow chemical process procedures.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education: High School Diploma plus two (2) semesters of college Chemistry and/or Physics is required.
  • Experience: One (1) year or less related work experience is required.
  • Must have the ability to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE "Q" security clearance.

  Pay: $36.56

The starting rate for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) is $36.56 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
