ATI is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team located at our brand-new Margate (Ft. Lauderdale), FL Facility. At this new facility, The Quality Manager will be a key player in supporting the development of highly engineered part solutions in support of the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, which calls for advanced manufacturing methods including metal additive manufacturing. As a successful Quality Manager, you will champion the implementation of our AS9100 quality system and build the Quality department in support of the U.S Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Primary Purpose of this Job

The primary purpose of this job is to implement and maintain the Quality and EHS programs at an ATI manufacturing site to ensure continuous improvement and program compliance to regulatory, customer and internal requirements.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

  • Support regulatory agency, customer and registrar visits, audits, and requests.
  • Maintain and support Quality and EHS related certificates and accreditations. Assistwithqualificationprograms.
  • Contribute to the development of a Zero Injury Culture using continuous improvement tools to develop lean, repeatable processes. Train andsupportotherstodothesame.
  • CommunicateQualityandEHSmetricsaswellasspecificplantandcompany-wideQualityandEHSproblems,solutionsandpolicies.
  • Ensureenvironmentalpermittingcompliancewithinresponsiblegroup. Lead QualityandEHSincidentinvestigations.
  • Proactively identify problems through Internal and Product/Process Audits. Drive resolution of these and other problems through effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain/reviewQualityandEHSrecords.
  • Proficient in GD&T, CMM, and the use of 3D optical and laser scanning equipment and their software's
  • Applyrequiredstandardsoraccreditationstoaproductionfacility(AS9100, OSHA, and Nadcap). Successfully lead the business through audits.
  • Support the business security clearance by acting as the assistant facility security officer (AFSO) or the facility clearance officer (FSO)
  • Assist in purchase order writing and supplier management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willing to learn additional programs.
  • Skilledinanalytical,criticalthinkingandproblem-solving capabilities. Experienced in the useofcontinuousimprovementtools.
  • Abletoorganize,payattentiontodetail,managetimeandprioritizework.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, or material science field, or equivalent years' experience
  • 8-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, quality systems, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Ability to lift 50lbs 50 feet

Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience with cast/forged and machined parts
  • 2+ years of experience with metal additive parts

Certification and Licensing Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense Security Clearance
