We are searching for a Network & Connectivity Operations Engineer (VMware / NSX) who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, highly available network connectivity across multi-tenant cloud environments. This role operates at an advanced technical level, focusing on VMware NSX and software-defined networking to enable scalable, resilient, and secure customer solutions.

This position is open across Level II, Senior, and Lead levels, depending on the candidate's experience, scope of expertise, and ability to operate in complex, customer-facing environments.

This is a customer-facing, Tier 3 engineering role thatownscomplex escalations, resolves advanced network issues, and ensures SLA-driven performance and availability. The engineer plays a critical role in delivering standardized managed services, supporting migrations and upgrades, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers while mentoring junior engineers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement, and support network connectivity solutions within multi-tenant VMware environments, with a strong focus on NSX

Troubleshoot complex network issues across east-west and north-south traffic flows, including routing, firewalling, and segmentation

Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for advanced connectivity and network-related incidents

Ensure network performance, availability, and reliability in alignment with defined SLAs and customer expectations

Configure and manage NSX components, including logical switching, routing, distributed firewall, load balancing, and VPN services

Implement and enforcemicrosegmentationand security policies to protect customer environments

Support customer onboarding, migrations, and platform upgrades, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal disruption

Collaborate cross-functionally with cloud, infrastructure, security, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions

Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem management activities to identify and prevent recurring issues

Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized MSP service offerings and operational procedures

Automate and optimize network provisioning and operational tasks where possible

Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing guidance on best practices, architecture, and optimization

Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team development and knowledge sharingthrough Knowledge Base articles

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements (Level-Based)

Level II Engineer

Bachelor's degree ina relateddiscipline and 2+ years of experience in a related field

OR a master's degree with up to 2 years of experience

OR 6+ years of relevant professional experience

Senior Engineer

Bachelor's degree ina relateddiscipline and 4+ years of experience

OR a master's degree with 2+ years of experience

OR Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience

OR 8+ years of relevant professional experience

Lead Engineer

Bachelor's degree ina relateddiscipline and 6+ years of experience

OR a master's degree with 4+ years of experience

OR Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience

OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience

Core Experience (All Levels)

Experience in network engineering within enterprise or managed services environments

Strong experience with VMware networking technologies, including NSX

Advanced troubleshooting skills across complex, distributed network environments

Experience operating in a Tier 3 support or escalation capacity

Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation as required

Certifications:

VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV) strongly preferred

Foundational certifications (e.g., VCTA, CompTIA Network+, Server+) may be considered alongside relevant hands-on experience
