Role: NPD Project Engineer III Type: Full-Time


About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated NPD Project Engineer III to support the development and successful launch of innovative products through cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will lead key aspects of the New Product Development (NPD) process, manage engineering deliverables, and ensure products meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

You will play a critical role in product realization by driving engineering excellence, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities<>Product Development & Engineering
  • Lead portions of the product design and development process, ensuring milestones are achieved
  • Design and develop new products and subassemblies aligned with engineering standards
  • Manage system-level design requirements for medium voltage / power systems
  • Develop and execute engineering test plans
  • Build, test, and validate prototype components and assemblies
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyze test results against design requirements
  • Conduct engineering analysis to improve product performance
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for new and existing products

<>Project Management
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage low-complexity engineering projects
  • Develop project schedules and budgets
  • Support Stage Gate / NPD processes and required documentation
  • Lead Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement (CI / Kaizen) initiatives

<>Design & Documentation
  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Test plans and reports
    • Material specifications
    • Engineering standards
    • Technical documentation and project records
  • Maintain CAD databases and engineering design libraries
  • Participate in engineering drawing reviews and approvals
  • Ensure components and manufacturing processes meet reliability, quality, and cost targets

<>Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with suppliers on component selection and qualification
  • Provide technical support for products across the lifecycle
  • Mentor junior engineers, designers, and technicians

Required Qualifications<>Education
  • Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
<>Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design and product development
  • Experience working on technically complex engineering projects
  • Hands-on experience with New Product Development (NPD) / Stage Gate processes

Technical Skills<>Engineering & Design
  • 3D parametric CAD modeling
  • Engineering design and product development
  • Engineering calculations and product validation
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
<>Electrical Engineering (Preferred Focus)
