Receptionist
Location: Mt. Olivet Cemetery - Wheat Ridge, CO
The Receptionist will report to the Assistant Director of Financial and Business Operations and will support the families who visit our location. As our Receptionist, you should feel comfortable being the first face our families see and the first person they speak with. You will be responsible for answering the phones and directing visiting families to where they need to go. As part of the ministry of the Catholic Church, you will be expected to conduct your work in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and teachings of the Church, and to support the work of Catholic cemeteries and funeral services in serving families with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Responsibilities
  • Answer a multi-line phone system
  • Greet and direct customers visiting the location for personal or business needs
  • Perform day-to-day administrative duties as required
  • Perform accurate data entry
  • Maintain cemetery and mortuary daily schedules
  • File and maintain customer information
  • Provide support for reconciliation of payments, deposits, and accounts
  • Operate e-fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit/credit machine, and postage machine
  • Run occasional errands to pick up supplies and/or make change at a bank
  • Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma
  • Relevant work experience
  • Valid Colorado driver's license
  • Must be able to travel within the Archdiocese of Denver territory;
  • Become a Notary within 90 days of employment
  • Maintain a positive/supportive attitude toward the Catholic Church, her teachings, and her work

  • Be detail-oriented and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner

About us...
Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres. St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary has two locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and was opened in 1981. The second was the recent acquisition of Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the general public regardless of their religious affiliation.
