The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Professional Office Cleaner to join our team! In this role, you will maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming corporate workspace at our main headquarters.
Position Details:
  • Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week. Ideally Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Weekend and evening flexibility is a plus).
  • Location: New York, NY (NORY HQ, located near Penn Station). Please note: This position is for our main corporate office, not a camp/school site.
  • Start Date: Immediate.
  • Compensation: $25/hr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean, maintain, and disinfect assigned office areas, including workspaces, communal areas, and restrooms.
  • Perform standard janitorial duties: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and deep cleaning as required.
  • Manage waste disposal and empty all garbage and recycling bins regularly.
  • Monitor cleaning inventory and organize supplies efficiently.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 1+ years of paid commercial, office, or janitorial cleaning experience.
  • Standards: Exceptionally high cleaning standards and a strong sense of pride in your work.
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic with a proven track record of consistent punctuality.
  • Skills: Solid organizational or inventory management skills.
  • Supplies: Ability to provide your own baseline cleaning supplies (though secondary supplies are available on-site).
  • Communication & Tech: Ability to speak English and a basic working comprehension of technology (smartphone apps, GPS, and email).
  • Compliance: Strict adherence to all standard health and safety regulations.
  • Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States. (Note: In accordance with the FCA and NYCHRL, background checks will be conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made).
