Norton's Restaurant of Green Lake, WI (now under Gage Marine's family of businesses!) is hiring Bartenders to join our team! As a bartender, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience by preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks, assessing bar customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Engage with customers to provide recommendations based on their preferences and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels of bar supplies, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate beverage pairings with menu items.
  • Utilize POS system for order processing and payment transactions efficiently.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cocktail recipes, techniques, and trends to create innovative drink offerings.
  • Assist in catering events, banquets, or special occasions as required.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Previous experience in the food industry is essential, with a focus on catering or fine dining preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is required to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Experience using POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
  • A passion for mixology and an eagerness to learn about new trends in beverages.


WORK SCHEDULE 

Part-time positions are available. We offer flexible scheduling, with nights, weekends, and holiday shifts required.
