    Job description

    Overview

    Choice+ Local is Northside Hospital's clinical career program that offers the flexibility of an agency with the growth and advantages of working for Northside. Candidates must live within 50 miles of their desired location and have a minimum of 2 years experience. We hire RRTs for Northside Atlanta, Northside Gwinnett, Northside Duluth, Northside Forsyth, and Northside Cherokee. 

    The Respiratory Therapist for Northside Hospital's Choice+ Local Program regularly performs respiratory care for patients in adult, neonatal care, and/or outpatient CPAP centers. Employees may perform ECG, EEG, pulmonary function testing, & bronchoscopy, and any other testing as deemed within the scope of practice by national standards.

    Responsibilities

    The Respiratory Therapist for Northside Hospital's Choice+ Local Program regularly performs respiratory care for patients in adult, neonatal care, and/or outpatient CPAP centers. Employees may perform ECG, EEG, pulmonary function testing, & bronchoscopy, and any other testing as deemed within the scope of practice by national standards.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program with an Associate's degree.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Applicants must have at least two (2) years of current experience post-residency/new graduate orientation in the clinical areas in which they will be working.
  • Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardia Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) by the American Heart Association.
    • NRP is only required when rotating to the NICU or attending deliveries.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with non-invasive pressure devices. (CPAP Department Only)
  • PREFERRED:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of travel experience with an external or internal agency program (excluding float pools).
