“A Day in the Life”

We are currently looking for a Regional Operations Manager in our Midwest region which currently supports up to 3 branches in up to 9 states. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for managing a team of around 3 employees who support all operational and administrative aspects of the branches including supporting the fleet management of mobile office and modular buildings. While other duties may be assigned in order to complete projects and specific branch obligations, the information below is a general listing of responsibilities of this position. This is growth region is a lean and high-volume operation, and the position requires a candidate that is hands on and willing to jump in to help balance the workload when needed while still being able to provide strategic oversight



“What You’ll Do” 

  • Lead the operational efforts - Specific areas include logistics, customer service, contracts, billing, receiving, accounts payable, purchase orders, and project coordination. 
  • Able to understand and manage to a P&L.
  • This is a leadership position that works as a triad with the Sales and Inventory Center personnel.
  • Collaborate daily on projects with our sales, project management and production staff to best support our clients and our company. 
  • Develop relationships with key customers including resolving customer disputes that arise. 
  • Take part in contract negotiations with internal and external customers 
  • Develop strategies and tactics for identifying and implementing “best practices” for the branches.
  • Ensure you learn and understand the roles of your direct reports in order to support and back them up as needed.
  • Exercise strong operational leadership and decision-making, balancing customer needs, team performance, and business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Model high-impact leadership behaviors, including clear communication, coaching and development of others, and fostering a culture of respect, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor base for on-site operations and implement policies and procedures designed to provide excellent service to our customer base and enhance our vendor partnerships.
  • Mentor and train operations staff team members to be as productive as possible. 
  • Establish and implement programs to proactively grow operations staff both personally and professionally.
  • Work with sales and production to help increase company market share in established and new market segments. 
  • Assist in developing new products and ancillary services to existing and new clients.
  • Manage equipment purchasing process and assist with sales decisions to optimize rental fleet utilization.
  • Develop strong relationships with manufacturers of modular buildings as well as with subcontractors for transportation, installation, and service in the marketplace. 
  • Standardize practices among our vendors and consistently improve our business processes.
  • Leverage emerging tools, including AI and automation, to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and support data-driven decision-making across the region.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 



“Must Haves”

  • 5 plus years’ experience in a management role
  • Superior interpersonal skills and a high EQ
  • Ability to travel between the branches is required up to 50%
  • High energy, flexible and able to execute in a fast paced, very diverse environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and foster an environment of support for the team during high pressure situations 
  • Capacity to lead and manage autonomously and as a team member
  • Track record of hands-on success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective project and time management skills
  • Experience in utilizing financial metrics to manage costs
  • PC proficiency in a Windows environment and quick to learn new systems
