Associate Manager, Lifestyle Content & Social Strategy

What will you do?

A day in the life of an Associate Manager, Lifestyle Content & Social Strategy at The North Face looks a little like this.

The Associate Manager, Lifestyle Content and Social Strategy will play a key role in shaping how The North Face shows up in culture through social-first lifestyle storytelling. This person will help define and evolve how lifestyle appears across The North Face's global social channels, translating product, partnerships, events, and cultural relevance into content that feels current, elevated, and distinctly TNF.

This role requires a hybrid skillset: part strategist, part creative producer, part cultural editor, and part operator. The ideal candidate is deeply tapped into culture, content, and social behavior, while also bringing rigor around planning, reporting, execution, and cross-functional collaboration. They should be equally comfortable developing ideas, briefing agencies, refining content, managing calendars, and using performance insights to optimize what comes next.

Alongside the Director of Social Media and Influencer, this person will help evolve The North Face's lifestyle presence beyond a standalone channel, ensuring lifestyle storytelling is thoughtfully integrated into the broader global social ecosystem in a way that feels modern, aspirational, and brand-right.

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Lifestyle Content Strategy & Production

  • Help define how lifestyle shows up across The North Face's global social channels, building a clear tone of voice and creative approach that feels culturally current, editorial, and distinctly TNF.

  • Translate brand, product, and cultural priorities into social-first lifestyle storytelling, with a focus on evergreen product, seasonal relevance, and key brand moments outside of the performance space.

  • Develop platform-specific content approaches across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channels based on audience behavior, creative best practices, and social trends.

  • Lead content development from concept through execution, including briefing, reviewing, and refining work across internal and external partners.

  • Manage in-house shoots featuring evergreen and seasonally relevant product, ensuring strong creative output for global social channels.

  • Maintain awareness of photographers, stylists, tastemakers, and cultural contributors who can help keep the brand visually current and creatively connected.

  • Monitor cultural conversation, competitive activity, and platform trends to inform content opportunities and optimize how lifestyle storytelling shows up across channels.

  • Uphold high creative and aesthetic standards across all lifestyle content, ensuring work is on-brand, socially engaging, and strategically aligned.

Planning, Calendar Ownership & Cross-Functional Integration

  • Own and maintain the lifestyle content calendar, ensuring launches, seasonal stories, cultural moments, and evergreen content are planned and integrated thoughtfully.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Paid Media, Influencer, PR, eCommerce, and regional teams to align social storytelling with broader business priorities.

  • Help streamline communication and workflow across teams so information, priorities, and assets move efficiently into social execution.

  • Ensure content is timely, cohesive, and strategically connected across the broader TNF ecosystem rather than operating in silos.

  • Support content planning for key seasonal moments and launches, ensuring social work ladders up to both brand objectives and commercial priorities.

Paid + Organic Performance Integration

  • Partner with Paid Media to ensure content is developed with performance in mind, including audience signals, creative testing, boosting potential, and platform best practices.

  • Apply an understanding of paid and organic integration to help maximize the reach, resonance, and efficiency of lifestyle content.

  • Identify opportunities for content optimization based on performance trends, audience behavior, and creative learnings.

  • Help ensure lifestyle content is not only creatively strong, but also built to drive meaningful results across reach, engagement, and business impact.

Reporting, Optimization & Operational Excellence

  • Monitor weekly, monthly, and campaign-level performance across lifestyle content initiatives and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Support reporting across organic and paid performance, identifying what is driving engagement, efficiency, relevance, and brand impact.

  • Use data, trend analysis, and creative judgment to recommend optimizations to content strategy, publishing approach, and platform execution.

  • Maintain organization across briefs, calendars, approvals, asset delivery, and content planning workflows.

  • Operate with strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience in social media, digital content, editorial, brand marketing, or a related field, ideally within lifestyle, fashion, consumer, or culture-driven brands.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Proven experience developing and executing social content strategies that balance creativity, cultural relevance, and performance.

  • Strong understanding of social platforms, content trends, internet culture, and evolving audience behaviors.

  • Experience managing or partnering with social creative agencies, content partners, or production teams.

  • Strong creative instincts with an eye for social storytelling, visual quality, tone, and platform fit.

  • Working knowledge of paid social and content performance, including boosting strategy, testing frameworks, and key social KPIs.

  • Experience managing editorial calendars, content workflows, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and move work forward clearly and confidently.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with comfort balancing multiple projects and shifting priorities.

Location requirement: Denver, CO

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience working in a hybrid brand/editorial or agency environment.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Sprinklr, Opal, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads and Manager.

  • Experience working across global and regional teams.

  • Passion for outdoor, lifestyle, fashion, and culture storytelling, with a strong sense of what makes content feel both elevated and socially native.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • A strategic doer who can think big, move fast, and execute with rigor.

  • Someone who is culturally fluent, creatively sharp, and operationally strong.

  • A social storyteller who understands both brand building and performance.

  • A collaborative partner who brings clarity, momentum, and strong instincts to cross-functional work.

  • Someone who is excited by the challenge of building lifestyle relevance within a broader brand ecosystem, rather than relying on a standalone channel to do the work.
