Position Requirements
About this Location:
Wayne Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit, community controlled hospital based in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. We strive to offer the highest quality in inpatient and outpatient care in more than 30 medical specialties. Our hospital has 98 acute care beds and an additional 14 beds dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation. Our inpatient rehabilitation unit is a partnership with the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. We offer physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (ST) with skilled certified therapists.
Case Assignments:
Cases include, but are not limited to, endo, general surgery, and ortho.
The practice model at this location is a care team model.

  • A variety of shifts are available

  • 32 miles from Scranton, PA
  • Rural area that provides many recreational opportunities (boating, fishing, hunting, etc.)

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements:
  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
