Short Description:. Network Specialist with advanced skillsets in network management focusing on IP Address Management (IPAM) evaluation, implementation and operations.

Complete Description : This position is a senior network engineer, and will support the NCDOT network infrastructure for across 530+ locations. This staff will specifically tasked and responsible for evaluation of, recommending and installing an IP Address Management (IPAM) solution for NCDOT IT. This staff must possess prior experience evaluating, recommending, installing, administrating and operating IPAM solutions in a large enterprise environment. This staff must have advanced experience managing IP networks and be proficient in IP address management and subnetting. This staff should be a senior network engineer with operational experience deploying and supporting data networking in a large and complex environment. Experience with Cisco WAN & access and distribution LAN switching products supporting data and VOIP, as well as data center class products is desired. This staff will be part of a team of network engineers supporting a mixed environment of Cisco, Ayaya LAN equipment, Riverbed, and Meraki products.


Qualifications

Hands on senior experience implementing and supporting IP Address Management software.

Hands on senior experience implementing and supporting current WAN and LAN technologies for access, distribution, core and data center solutions

Senior level knowledge of TCP/IP networking, IP subnetting, and networking technologies.

Senior level troubleshooting skillset related to LAN and WAN technologies, such as data capture and analysis.

Ability to professionally document proposals and as-built network solutions.

Extensive knowledge of and experience with current Cisco LAN switching and WAN product set.

Extensive experience in IT including demonstrated experience in various technical disciplines.

Experience designing, implementing and supporting Riverbed products.

CCNA, CCNP, CCIE

Experience designing, implementing and supporting Avaya (formerly Nortel Enterprise) LAN products.

Experience designing, implementing and supporting Meraki products.
