The Role:
The Senior Clinical Informatics Solutions Associate is responsible for bridging clinical expertise with advanced real-world data (RWD) to generate high-quality, clinically meaningful evidence that supports clinical research, product development, clinical planning and execution, and healthcare decision-making in clinical development and patient engagement and recruitment. This role combines deep clinical knowledge with expertise in structured and unstructured healthcare data, enabling the interpretation, validation, and delivery of real-world evidence (RWE) across diverse therapeutic areas.
The ideal candidate possesses an advanced clinical background, strong analytical capabilities, and extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR), claims, lab data, and other healthcare data sources supporting clinical research and development activities. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with data science, clinical research managers, product, and client-facing teams to ensure clinical accuracy, methodological rigor, and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Data Interpretation & Analysis
  • Apply clinical expertise to interpret structured and unstructured real-world healthcare data across all phases of clinical development.
  • Review and interpret physician documentation, clinical narratives, pathology reports, radiology reports, and other unstructured medical records to derive clinically meaningful insights.
  • Validate clinical cohorts, disease definitions, treatment pathways, outcomes, and patient journeys using RWD.
  • Identify clinical nuances that impact data quality, cohort selection, and study design.

Real-World Data Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in real-world healthcare data sources, including:
    • Electronic Health Records (EHR)
    • Claims Data
    • Laboratory Data
    • Pharmacy Data
    • Linked Data Assets
  • Demonstrate expertise in healthcare coding systems, including:
    • ICD-9/10-CM
    • CPT/HCPCS
    • LOINC
    • NDC

Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, stakeholder expectations, and cross-functional communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure successful execution of clinical data projects.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices for RWD projects and evidence generation.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
One of the following is required:
  • Advanced Practice degree (NP, PA, CRNA, or equivalent), or
  • Master's degree in a health-related field with 5+ years of progressive experience in Real-World Data and clinical data interpretation.
Experience
  • At least 3 years working experience in clinical development for pharmaceutical companies, CROs or other support providers
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Real-World Data (RWD), Real-World Evidence (RWE), healthcare analytics, clinical informatics, or observational research.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting structured and unstructured clinical data.
  • Experience working with electronic health records and healthcare claims data.
  • Experience supporting clinical research, life sciences, or pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Experience participating in project management, implementation, delivery, or client-facing engagements.

A successful Senior Clinical Informatics Solutions Associate combines clinical research and development expertise with their Real- World Data Experience to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights. They are proficient in interpreting both structured and unstructured clinical data, possess deep knowledge of healthcare coding systems and RWD methodologies, and effectively lead projects from concept through delivery. This individual serves as a trusted clinical expert who ensures that real-world evidence is clinically accurate, analytically sound, and aligned with organizational and client objectives.
