CDL Class A Driver – Local Delivery (53' Trailer)

Location: Posen, IL Pay Structure: • Base Annual Pay: $17-22/hr (core part-time route) at 30hrs per week • Additional hours available: $$

Schedule: Part-Time | Monday–Friday Typical Hours: Early mornings, generally finished by ~11am/12:00pm Pickup Window: 6:00–7:00 AM (must be able to arrive as early as 5:00 AM if needed) Route Coverage: Local & regional routes within a 100–150 mile radius Reports To: Facilities / Operations Manager

Position Overview

We are hiring a CDL Class A Driver to operate a 53' tractor-trailer supporting local pallet delivery operations. This is a part-time, home-daily role with a consistent core route consisting of one pickup and two deliveries per shift. Additional loads may be available and are paid hourly. Ideal for a professional driver seeking steady morning work, predictable routes, and a structured schedule without long-haul travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 53' tractor-trailer on local routes
  • Complete 1 pickup + 2 deliveries as part of the standard route
  • Deliver pallets to customers within a 100–150 mile radius
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate BOLs, mileage logs, and delivery documentation
  • Ensure DOT compliance and safe driving practices at all times
  • Occasionally assist with loading/unloading pallets
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Experience operating 53' trailers
  • Clean or manageable driving record
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • Comfortable with early morning start times
  • Able to perform light manual labor related to pallet handling
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety inspections
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance checks (fluids, minor issues)
