3-Shift Operation

Non- Union Facility with approximately 200 hourly staff members which are a mix of temporary and full-time associates.

100% Food Service, 4 bag soup lines, 1 tub line, 18 Kettles, 5 Filling lines, and 4 packaging lines.

Products include Frozen Soups and Macaroni & Cheese

Job Overview:

The Chill Tank Operator documents temperatures of soup exiting the chiller, as well as checks for bag integrity and print quality. Communicate with the lead and supervisor on totes that have been staged. Must ensure factory HACCP plan is followed, all soup must be below 80 degrees F as it leaves the chiller.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operate power equipment.
  • Document bag temperatures.
  • Stage totes in First-In First-Out order.
  • Basic understanding of HMI operation.
  • Communicate with Onpack operators / Prepack lead.
  • Identify any quality concerns, illegibly printed bags or seal integrity issues.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.
  • Computer skills (IQS)
  • Pallet Jack operation
  • Responsible for Q-RMP standards implementation as defined by the accountability list document
  • Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner. Safety is everyone's responsibility. Understanding of HACCP and HMI interface.
  • Troubleshoot chiller problems.
  • Regulate speed of Chill Tank through HMI manipulation to ensure all products meet HACCP requirements for Temperature
  • Operate printer, Wexxar, Iconotech printer.
  • Understand all pack configurations.
  • Separate batches as much as possible in totes.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skills
  • Working conditions include extremes of hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.
  • Responsible for Q-RMP standards implementation as defined by the accountability list document.
