Job Description

The Slot Ambassador plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional gaming experience by providing prompt, friendly, and professional service to casino guests. This position is responsible for processing jackpot payouts, assisting guests with slot-related inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere on the casino floor. The Slot Ambassador ensures compliance with all company, departmental, and gaming regulations to uphold the highest standards of integrity and service.

Responsibilities

  • Verify guest identity and ensure all players meet legal age requirements for gaming.
  • Greet and interact with guests on the casino floor, ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.
  • Provide assistance to guests with slot machine operations, ensuring they understand game rules, jackpot procedures, and machine functions.
  • Assist in resolving any slot machine-related issues, such as technical problems, payment errors, or guest inquiries, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the casino floor for slot machine performance, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Provide support to guests by explaining jackpot payout procedures and processing jackpot payments accurately.
  • Ensure that all slot machines are clean, well-maintained, and operational to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist with machine reset or minor troubleshooting when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and internal policies.
  • Handle guest information confidentially and in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of all slot machine types and operations to confidently assist guests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Stay updated on all casino promotions, events, and new slot games to inform and engage with guests.

Skills / Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Slot Ambassador or similar role within the gaming and/or hospitality industries.
  • Familiarity with electronic and slot equipment.
  • Proficient understanding of electronics down to the circuit board level with the ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Ability to perform intermediate math.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse Team Members and guests alike.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.
  • The ability to submit to a background check and drug test is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Work indoors and move throughout the property over 75% of the time.
  • Lift, bend/kneel.
  • Work less than 25% of the time outdoors.
  • Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy skills are critical.
  • Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold or humid.
  • Ability to move or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. up to 250 lbs.
