Squeek Lights is a boutique concert lighting and touring shop based outside of New York City. We are looking to hire a full-time employee to work in our Sayreville, NJ shop and on local gigs. We are a small shop looking for someone to take the reins on our growing LED Walll/Video Department. We're looking for a hard worker with a positive attitude who wants to build further experience with our rapidly growing company.
You'll work as a tech on local one-offs. We often provide video packages for local concerts and events in NYC and the surrounding areas. We are looking for someone comfortable leading both union and non-union crews in setting up a rig, troubleshooting it, and making sure the tour techs are happy. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable on Resolume. For some jobs, you would be driving a non-CDL truck from shop to site.
While not on shows, you will work in our shop, completing tasks such as:
-Check in and out video equipment for orders
-Cleaning and testing panels from gigs
-Diagnosing and repairing issues on panels with help from service
-Advising on purchase of new equipment
-Other special projects as they come up
-Driving van or non-CDL truck for deliveries and pickups.
Compensation:
-$28- 32/hr in shop
-$650/d for show work (plus driving bonus)
-We would also be open to a salary role if preferred
