Employment Type: Full-time, 1st Shift
Job Overview
STS Technical Services is hiring a Pipe Fitter for a 1st shift position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems, ensuring the proper functionality and integrity of these systems across various construction and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Study and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems.
  • Pipe Fabrication: Select, measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
  • Piping System Installation: Assemble and install piping systems according to design specifications, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
  • Testing & Inspections: Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and functionality of the piping system, identifying and rectifying any issues or leaks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians, to ensure the integration of piping systems with other building components.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to determine corrective actions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including as-built drawings, material lists, and equipment specifications.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a pipe fitter with a strong understanding of piping systems and construction practices.
  • Welding experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of various pipe materials and their applications.

  • Physical strength and stamina for lifting and working in various conditions.
