Job Description:
SUMMARY
Grows and develops customer service skills by providing studentsand the general public community support and assistance. Develops anunderstanding of student and community needs to provide professional assistanceto students and the community in support of studentsuccess. Develops relationships with new students and continuingstudents at Tri-C encouraging and supporting their success at Tri-C.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supportsstudent success activities
  • Providesstudent success information and connections to campus resources through classvisits and campus email
  • Providesassistance to peers in navigating campus services and enrollment processes atTri-C
  • Acquiresfamiliarity with campus operations, facilities, student services and My Tri-CSpace; greets and assists students at key Student Services areas, conductingcampus tours, and serving as host/hostesses at campus events and activities
  • Makesclass visits as needed
  • Providesoverall excellent customer service to students and members of the community
  • Performsother duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • HighSchool Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Completionof at least six credit hours at Tri-C
  • MinimumGPA of 2.5
  • Consistentlymaintains six credit hours each semester
  • Maintainssatisfactory academic progress

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Abilityto work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Possessexcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Abilityto work accurately with great attention to detail
  • Abilityto organize work and set priorities within a general structure

  • The workis performed in a normal, professional office environment;
