Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior MEP Project Manager to work with our team, and partner with a global manufacturing client. 

The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with strong Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP knowledge and experience. To be successful in this role, you will be consultant minded and have experience with Owner's Representation. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage applicable engineering drawings, specifications, and documents. 
  • Effectively communicate with external and internal team members and stakeholders at all projects stages. 
  • Support the scheduler with updates on progress. 
  • Support field coordination between the General Contractor, Commissioning Agent, and Client. 
  • Undertake field walks with the General Contractor and Sub-Contractor Trades. 
  • Attending field and punch walks with the architect and MEP Engineering team. 
  • Help support and manage project close out documentation. 
  • Ensure QA/QC is being followed and report any issues/gaps. 
  • Perform quality review of technical documentation for accuracy and contract compliance. 
  • Perform engineering quality assurance and engineering quality control reviews for all design drawings, prior to submission to Construction for builds. 
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports on the project's progress, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and progress tracking. 
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications. 
  • Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared. 
  • Identifying and ensuring that the client and management are aware of quality, safety, health and environmental issues. 
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 
Qualifications
  • Field construction experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure appropriate communications and coordination across project delivery teams, stakeholders, and vendors. 
  • Strong client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between stakeholders and corporate leadership.
  • Able to manage and delegate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff. 
  • Proven post graduate Mechanical or MEP engineering experience, encompassing both design and site experience. 
  • Engineering background with strong mechanical knowledge/experience. 
  • Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field. 
  • Project Management (or PMP), Engineering or a related field.
