Non Teaching Assistant
New Foundations Charter High School is currently seeking a full-time Non Teaching Assistant.
Monday - Friday 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
New Foundations staff members believe in our school mission - we are a caring community of learners. We seek candidates who value our community, are highly motivated, and who will demand excellence from themselves and their students.
Non Teaching Assistants at New Foundations Charter School are expected to:
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED;
  • Possess a minimum of two years experience working with children, preferably in a K-12 school setting;
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate in a fast paced environment and redirect students using appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Preferably possess valid certification documenting the completion of approved training courses in First Aid and CPR.

About The Position
Non Teaching Assistants support the daily non-instructional routines of the school day and contribute to ensuring a caring school environment for students. The work of Non Teaching Assistants contributes to the success of the New Foundations' mission and vision.
  • Monitor and supervise students during non-instructional times (lunch, outdoor and indoor recess, class transitions in hallways, arrival and dismissal).
  • Greet students upon arrival, assist with attendance procedures and ensure a calm and orderly transition of students to their classrooms.
  • Oversee assigned areas of the school building during class time to ensure that student time spent outside of class is efficient and safe.
  • Monitor student bathrooms and track student use as appropriate.
  • Assist with lunch protocols as necessary.
  • Assist with light clerical work and preparation of teaching materials for teachers, as needed.
  • Deliver items to classrooms and students throughout the day, as needed.
  • Assist with facilities and resource set up including moving of books and furniture.
  • Escort students throughout the building as needed/as age appropriate.
  • Other non-instructional duties as assigned by administrators.
