Job description

MedStar Health Cardiology Associates at Annapolis is seeking non-invasive cardiologists to join our existing team of experienced cardiologists due to growth and upcoming physician retirements.

Be part of a large, multi-disciplinary practice that includes interventional cardiology, EP, advanced heart failure, cardiac surgery, and an established vascular program. We also have a team of professional advanced practice providers. This is an optimal position for new graduates or experienced cardiologists who'd be part of a collaborative and cohesive team. Position includes mentorship and collegial support, plus a great patient base to grow their practice. Candidates interested in outreach engagement and community activities is a plus.

In this role you will provide clinical and inpatient cardiology services, associated with one hospital as the practice seeks to expand and replace physician coverage. Practice includes a good amount of echocardiography (including stress echo), nuclear cardiology, and activities include performing and interpreting TEEs. Call frequency is low, e.g., 1:12 weekends and 1:14 weekday. Opportunity to work at supporting practice locations, e.g., Kent Island and Bowie.

  • Board-eligible/board-certified in Cardiology
  • Board certification in Echo and/or Nuclear
  • Expertise and interest in subspecialty areas, such as advanced echocardiography (including TEE)
