The role involves developing, supporting, and optimizing mainframe applications, building automation scripts, managing backend integration workflows, and ensuring stability across production and batch systems.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Optimize COBOL programs, JCL, and DB2 queries for performance improvements.
• Support daily batch processing and ensure job completion while resolving abends.
• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, batch scheduling, and system integration.
• Ensure smooth integration between Unix automation and mainframe systems.
• Enhance existing scripts to improve performance and stability.
• Develop and maintain SQL/PL-SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
