As a Manager, Financial Analytics, youโ€™ll play a critical role in shaping key business decisions by delivering insights, modeling, and financial strategy that support growth, regulatory initiatives, and longโ€‘term planning.

This is a highโ€‘visibility leadership role where your work directly informs executives, senior leadership, and boardโ€‘level decisions.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Youโ€™ll lead financial analytics efforts that support strategic planning, customer growth, and operational performance.

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Lead analytics supporting longโ€‘term financial planning, growth initiatives, and corporate strategy 
  • Identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities to guide decisionโ€‘making

Financial Modeling & Insights

  • Oversee development of advanced financial models (DCF, rate analysis, customer feasibility) 
  • Ensure strong governance, accuracy, and consistency across all analytical outputs

Regulatory & Rate Support

  • Partner with Regulatory and Finance teams to support rate cases, filings, and compliance 
  • Provide analyses that align with regulatory standards and business objectives

Executive Communication

  • Deliver executiveโ€‘level presentations, dashboards, and insights for leadership and the Board 
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations

Analytics Tools & Process Improvement

  • Enhance analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting processes to improve data quality and decision speed 
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement across reporting

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts (direct supervision) 
  • Provide guidance on priorities, modeling approaches, and professional growth

Crossโ€‘Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, and Strategy teams 
  • Act as a trusted partner supporting enterprise initiatives

What Weโ€™re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 
  • 7+ years of progressive financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, or cost control experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated utility or energy environment 
  • Knowledge of rate structures, regulatory finance, or rate cases
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or data analytics tools 
  • Advanced degree (MBA or related)

Incident Response Assignment

Our community relies on Peoples Gas to respond swiftly and effectively to all types of incidents, including but not limited to major storm events (e.g., extreme cold, tropical storms, hurricanes), gas leaks, equipment failures, environmental hazards, and other emergencies that may impact public safety or service continuity.

Peoples Gas depends on each team member to fulfill their primary and/or alternate roles and responsibilities during such incidents. As a Team Member of Peoples Gas, you will be assigned an Incident Response Assignment, receive training related to your role, and may participate in mock drills or exercises simulating various emergency scenarios
