Rotorcraft Support, Inc. (RSI) is a full-service helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility supporting commercial, private, utility, law enforcement, firefighting, and government operators worldwide.


Founded in 1986, RSI operates an 83,000-square-foot facility on our private 10-acre heliport in Fillmore, California. We are an FAA and EASA Certified Part 145 Repair Station, Factory Authorized Service Center, and OEM Parts Distributor for leading helicopter manufacturers.


Our capabilities include airframe maintenance and repair, component and hydraulic overhaul, avionics, structural repair, modifications and completions, component exchange, NDT, OEM factory parts, and aircraft support. For 40 years, RSI has built its reputation on quality workmanship, technical expertise, and dependable helicopter support.


Position Summary


RSI is seeking an experienced Bell Helicopter Component Mechanic to join our Component Shop in Fillmore, California. This position is responsible for the teardown, inspection, repair, overhaul, testing, and reassembly of Bell helicopter components in accordance with FAA regulations, Bell technical data, and RSI’s Safety Management System (SMS) standards.


Compensation


  • $66,560 – $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position.


Responsibilities


  • Perform teardown, cleaning, inspection, repair, modification, testing, and reassembly of Bell helicopter components.
  • Maintain traceability of parts and consumables in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer requirements.
  • Research and apply FAA Airworthiness Directives, Bell Service Bulletins, and applicable technical data.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds aviation workmanship and quality standards.
  • Properly use and maintain shop equipment, tools, and technical publications.
  • Work with Quality Control, maintenance personnel, OEM representatives, and other team members to resolve technical issues and manage workload priorities.
  • Accurately document all work performed in accordance with FAA, Bell, and RSI requirements.


Qualifications


  • Prior experience performing Bell component overhauls on 206, 407, 205, 212, and 412 models is required.
  • Bell Factory Component Overhaul training is a plus.
  • Must provide and maintain a complete set of personal tools appropriate for the position.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.
  • Employment is contingent upon participation in the FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
