POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The QC/QA Lead - Mechanical manages all quality assurance and quality control activities related to O&M mechanical operations and systems within large facilities. The role supports project compliance, implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs, and ensures effective use of non-destructive testing, reporting, and corrective actions.
  1. Quality Assurance Administration:
    • Set up, manage, and continuously improve the QC/QA program for mechanical systems.
    • Establish and document QC/QA procedures and method statements.
    • Oversee mechanical inspections and testing in line with contract/PWS standards.
  2. Compliance & Program Development:
    • Implement and monitor RCM programs and non-destructive testing methods.
    • Guarantee compliance with codes, regulatory, and safety standards.
  3. Reporting:
    • Document findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Provide clear reports to Project and Operations Managers.
  4. Working Conditions:
    • Role combines office and on-site facility work.
    • May require coverage during off-hours or emergencies.
  5. Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to inspect mechanical spaces and systems and move around complex environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a facilities management discipline.
• Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience in major industrial or construction projects in QC/QA roles.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience as a QC/QA Lead.
• Proficient with mechanical O&M systems in large buildings.
• Experience with RCM and non-destructive testing.
