What are Non Destructive Testing Assistants?

Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Assistants support technicians and engineers in inspecting materials and structures for flaws without causing damage. They help set up and operate equipment, prepare test samples, record results, and ensure safety protocols are followed. NDT Assistants work in industries like manufacturing, aerospace, construction, and energy to maintain quality and safety standards. Their work is essential in detecting defects before they become critical issues, helping to prevent accidents and costly repairs.

As a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Assistant, your daily tasks often involve preparing equipment, setting up test sites, and assisting senior technicians with conducting various inspections such as ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle tests. You’ll help record test results, maintain safety protocols, and ensure that all tools and materials are properly cleaned and stored.
