This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: "Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Fort Worth, TX.
Maverick Golf and Ranch Club is seeking an IT Manager to join the Information Technology Department.
The IT Manager will oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced technology systems that enhance the living experience for our members. This position will ensure seamless connectivity and security through robust network infrastructure, including surveillance systems, high-speed internet, and automation tools. The IT Manager also coordinates with developers to integrate both hardware and software solutions. Additionally, you will troubleshoot technical issues, provide tech support, and ensure the technology aligns with the DLC brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist company staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, server system and related technology.
• High level understanding of server operations and operating systems including Virtual servers, clustering, back up systems and policies surrounding maintenance and standards for systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and naming convention standards.
• Familiarity with Office 365, Azure, Entra, group policy management.
• Knowledge of networking including switches, routers, firewalls, AP's, VLAN's and routing; Cisco or Meraki experience a plus.
• Maintain daily operations of networks and server infrastructure, including preventative maintenance.
• IT Related project implementation, methodologies, and familiarity with change management.
• Policy creation, documentation of network backbones, including OSI model knowledge.
• Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
• Assess and purchase new and replacement hardware.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and project planning as well as KPI and performance tuning.
• Assure that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
• Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to operate effectively.
• Assist in the development of connectivity and capability for IT installations that support Development / Construction, Security, Sales, Accounting, Human Resources and Operations.
• Troubleshoot phone systems and POS terminals and subnetworks.
• Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
• Partners with Discovery Land IT and gains progressive responsibilities relating to the IT infrastructure over time.
• Provides hardware/software support to both local and remote users and is available to troubleshoot via phone as needed.
• Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop and server platforms, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
• Partners with Discovery Land Company contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop, server and networking systems to include hardware and software.
• Trains and orients staff on use of computers, phones, POS and other software.
• Oversees and tracks successful fulfillment of all orders.
• Internal Communications Management - Maintain timely communication of progress and status with regards to each of the projects.
Skills & Qualifications
• IT-related college degree preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years related experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess high-level of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent presentation and organizational skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Problem solver with ability to navigate complex problems

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
