Job description

Summary of Duties
Assists the Systems Manager in implementing, supporting and maintaining the information technology and telecommunications infrastructure for the Senior Living Division. Works with end-users over the telephone and on-site for computer, server, thin client and other device repairs, operating system and software configuration.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Repairs and troubleshoots hardware, and operating systems for servers, computers, thin clients, PDAs, switches, printers or other various networking components on the wide area network
  2. Assists network users with ensuring configuration and proper function of office and other software applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher, American Health Tech, Medicare/Medicaid programs, Reps and Internet Explorer on the wide area network
  3. Audits back up tapes monthly
  4. Assists the Systems Manager- Senior Living Division on implementing clinical management system at various facilities
  5. Assists the Systems Manager- Senior Living Division and any other IT staff in securing Electronic Protected Health Information
  6. Assists the Systems Manager - Senior Living Division and any other IT staff and vendors on interface configurations, training and implementation of new systems
  7. Configures phone systems as needed and works with phone vendors on supporting multiple phone systems
  8. Assists in providing technical guidance and support to facility staff
  9. Installs and configures Windows 7 Professional and applications/software
  10. Installs and configures components of Windows 2008 server as directed
  11. Troubleshoots Windows Kiosks and wireless handheld devices
  12. Creates images for various computers and re-images computers as necessary
  13. Installs or replaces PC and server hardware as needed
  14. Responds to support issues onsite or remotely for calls that are submitted via e-mail, helpdesk, and phone
  15. Creates, modifies and deletes user accounts and exchange mailboxes in a Windows 2003/2008 domain structure, with Exchange 2010
  16. Creates users in Clinical Management / Billing system as directed
  17. Logs all requested and completed work into the help desk software application
  18. Performs other duties as assigned

Education
  • Associate or higher degree preferred. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) required
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred

Experience
Minimum of three (3) years experience as computer technician, network technician, network engineer or network administrator support required.
Physical Requirements
  1. Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, and stand intermittently throughout the workday
  2. Must be able to work with hands and fingers throughout the workday
  3. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of this position can be fully met
