Position Summary

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to be responsible for overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of Nokia Federal's products and supplies.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Maintains and executes inventory control workflows, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the inventory system through digital and physical counting
  • Updating Inventory System with incoming and outgoing products
  • Coordinates with Engineering and other department personnel to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
  • Monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
  • Responsible for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
  • Maintains personnel access and inventory logs to inventory control room
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field. In lieu of a degree additional related work will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working for a company within the industry or from a similar business.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Experience with logistics operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, etc…
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong communication, cross functional collaboration abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and customer requirements.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIS, CPIM and/or comparable professional engineering certifications highly desirable
  • Experience with inventory reporting systems (i.e., WASP, Fishbowl, etc.)
