Role Description
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using React.js (front end), Node.js/Express (back end), and PostgreSQL (database)
• Build responsive, high-performance UI components following Starbucks design and accessibility standards
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with internal/external systems
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write reusable, testable code and implement unit/integration tests
• Work closely with product owners, UX designers, and cross-functional development teams
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Ensure application security best practices are followed
Required Skills
Experience
• 8-10 years of hands-on software development experience
Frontend Development
• Strong proficiency in React.js, including:
o Hooks
o Functional components
o Redux (or similar state management)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and ES6 features
Backend Development
• Expertise in Node.js with Express.js or similar frameworks
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Database
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including:
o Stored procedures
o Query optimization
o Schema design
CI/CD & DevOps
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
