Job Duties
The Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking two (2) motivated individuals to serve as Junior Cloud Data & AI Engineers. These positions will support development and maintenance of cloud-based data engineering and AI workflows, assist in building data pipelines, develop scripts, support AWS-Snowflake integrations, maintain basic AI workflow components, and participate in CI/CD, and cloud deployment processes.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Support development of cloud-based data workflows using AWS services.
• Assist in building data pipelines using AWS Lambda, Glue, and Kinesis.
• Develop scripts or small applications using Python.
• Support integration between AWS and Snowflake for data processes.
• Assist in basic AI workflow development such as embeddings or retrieval tasks.
• Support cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting cloud applications.
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience developing cloud-native code using Python or Node.js.
• Experience developing and maintaining solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3 and Glue.
• Experience in integrating applications with Snowflake and/or building applications using Snowflake Cortex (CoCo) or Streamlit.
• Experience writing and executing complex SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and validation.
• Experience building or maintaining data ingestion and transformation workflows in data lake or Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience using open source healthcare integration engines used to move and transform clinical data between systems like MIRTH Connect or Rhapsody or Cloverleaf or Iguana.
Additional Considerations
• Familiarity with API Gateway and Step Functions.
• Familiarity with Generative AI applications development using RAG and vector databases.
• Active AWS and/or Snowflake certifications.
