Bellevue, WA
Job Description: Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems for the company's programmatic SSP using Node.js. Build and optimize server-side logic to support systems that handle billions of requests per day, with a focus on low latency, high reliability, and large-scale data processing.
Work in a Linux-based environment with end-to-end responsibility for development, deployment, and monitoring. Collaborate with product and engineering teams using Agile methodologies. Apply strong attention to detail to ensure system stability, accuracy, and uptime. Leverage Redis and Aerospike for data storage and caching at scale. Use Git for version control and CI/CD tools for automated deployment. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support production operations.
Salary: $212,500- $215,000/year
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of experience performing backend development. Experience must include five years each of the following: Node.js and PHP language; building and maintaining distributed applications; SSH, Linux, and network protocols; MySQL database and Vertica; Kafka; version control system such as Git or GitLab continuous integration/continuous deployment; Agile development process; and product troubleshooting and support. Experience must include three years each of the following: Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) OpenRTB spec and VAST; KeyDB, Redis, and Aerospike; Datadog or Grafana metrics observability; and Adtech industry Supply-Side Platform (SSP) systems including real-time bidding (RTB), auction dynamics and performance tuning for high-throughput ad transactions. Experience may be gained concurrently.
