Job description

We are seeking a skilledย Maintenance Mechanicย who is team oriented to join ourย Sanford, NC. This team member will be responsible for maintaining/repairing all company equipment and tooling within the facility.ย 

Wage: $30 DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm. Some OT and occasional weekend.

What does it take to work at Noble, a Clean Harbors Company?

  • 3-5 years maintenance experience in an Industrial environment preferred
  • Familiar with pressure temperature flow and level instrumentationย distillation stills, general evaporating equipment, cooling towers, pumps, and boilers a plus!
  • Piping systems and fluid dynamics
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position and lift up to 50lbs, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects
  • Clean and valid driver's licenseย 
  • Confined spaces and maintain confined space certification
  • Ability to be fitted for and work wearing full face respiratorย 
  • Clean Shaven
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of timeย  ย

  • Performs preventative maintenance, conducts inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & performs necessary corrections.ย 
  • Completes and maintains all service, parts/inventory records in a timely & accurate manner.
  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of maintenance being performed.
  • Assures daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems or issues with the Unit it immediately upon discovery.
  • LOTO - Always follow safety protocol
  • Reviews all applicable SOPs, and complete all mandatory Company and job specific training.
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as ย required for tracking PM schedules.
  • Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Inspections
  • Fabricating, welding, modifications etc. / pump & piping installs
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health andย 
  • Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Performs other assignments as assigned by ย management.
  • Keeps within Compliance Standards.
  • Performs maintenance functions, including, but not limited to Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical
  • Maintains facility equipment through Preventative Maintenance Management systems.
  • Assures proper preventative maintenance of all plant equipment, stationary and mobile.
  • Assembles components and parts, as required by manufacturers.
  • Maintains all plant equipment and systems.
  • Operates a forklift and various heavy equipment, when necessary, to assist in diagnosis.
  • Reviews all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and satisfactorily completes quizzes.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. Drives Clean Compliance Standard.
  • Ensures that work meets compliance standards within facility operation. Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
