Outpatient-Focused Practice | No Call | No Weekends | Up to $400K
A respected integrated healthcare system in Poplar Bluff, Missouri is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a growing Specialty Care program focused on expanding GI access and continuity of care.
This opportunity offers an outpatient-focused schedule, dedicated procedure time, strong support staff, and excellent work-life balance with no unassigned call, weekends, or holiday responsibilities.
Position Highlights
  • MondayFriday schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Outpatient-focused GI practice
  • One dedicated procedure day per week

  • $380,000$400,000 compensation package

Responsibilities
  • Perform GI consultations, evaluations, follow-up visits, and longitudinal care
  • Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal diseases, including:
    • Chronic liver disease
    • Hepatitis C
    • General GI disorders
  • Perform standard GI procedures including:
    • EGD
    • Colonoscopy
    • PEG placement
    • Paracentesis
  • Provide conscious sedation during procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Support inpatient consultative GI services as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement and process initiatives

Practice Details
  • Average clinic volume: 1014 patients per day
  • Average procedure volume: 68 procedures on procedure days
  • No ERCP or advanced endoscopy requirements
  • Dedicated nursing support with growing specialty care infrastructure

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • DEA eligible

Preferred Experience
  • General GI and routine endoscopy experience
  • Interest in developing and growing a specialty service
  • Experience serving rural or underserved communities
