AFTER MASTERING THE GAS STATION AND CONVENIENCE STORE BUSINESS IN TEXAS AND PERFECTING THEIR FAMOUS BBQ, OUR FOUNDERS MOVED TO LAKE CHARLES TO BRING THEIR SPECIAL SAUCE TO SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA AND BEYOND.

What We Are Looking For: Stockers (Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Gillis, Lacassine, Duson, Lafayette, Scott, Broussard, Carencro)

Our growing company is looking for experienced Stockers. A Stocker is responsible for making sure that consumers have access to the merchandise they are looking for by organizing product displays and storage. Stock all products throughout the store, check expiration dates, arrange products, unload trucks, straighten shelves, and assist guests.

Responsibilities of a Stocker:

  • Welcome all guests with “Welcome to Grab-N-Geaux”
  • Provide customer service since you work in a visible space on the floor while arranging merchandise
  • Ensure all items are stored in the appropriate locations throughout the store
  • Sort and stock all products on shelves and in backroom using FIFO method
  • Clean and maintain restrooms throughout the shift
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the store, parking lot, gas pumps, outside areas according to Grab-N-Geaux standards
  • Maintain department appearance by rotating product(s) sustaining product levels throughout the day, properly managing outdated product, ensuring cases and displays are well maintained
  • All employees may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed

Qualifications of a Stocker:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Basic math and counting skills required (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Demonstrate communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Requires the ability to climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, squat, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, of up to 40-75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in intermittent temperatures; i.e. outside, coolers, etc.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evening, weekends, or holidays
  • Complete the Louisiana Vendor Permit Card (Bar Card) before start date
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the store’s location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10-$11
