  • On-Site Maintenance & Repair: Perform maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic systems and ancillary equipment (e.g., batteries, monitoring systems, EV chargers).

  • Record Keeping: Update internal service records, time logs, and gather information for warranty claims. Keep accurate and detailed records of site visits.

  • Customer Communication: Clearly communicate issues and resolutions to customers, office staff, and the operations team.

  • Safety & Equipment Management: Adhere to safety policies, maintain tools, meters, truck stock, and spare parts inventory.

  • Training & Reporting: Attend training sessions and create reports on system operability and major issues.

  • PV Installation: During periods where there is no maintenance to perform:

    • Install photovoltaic (PV) systems to include ballasted systems on flat roofs, pitched roofs and ground mounted systems. Work will include roof penetrations, mounting of racking systems, panels onto racking, inverter(s) and conduit between solar arrays and inverter(s), wire management, occasional trench work

    • At all times, ensure personal, crew, and job site safety in accordance with Company and OSHA safety standards;

    • General construction tasks, and operation of hand, and power tools, with occasional heavy machinery;

    • Heavy lifting of modules, ballasts, and installation material to the location of the installation, typically via the use of ladders, cranes or lifts;

    • Install to system design specifications that meet the highest quality standards, and in accordance with all applicable codes and standards;

    • Support tool management and proper maintenance of personal and company tools and install vehicles;

    • Practice the company core values in all daily activities;

    • Follow daily instruction of your Crew Lead and Project Managers.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, technical/trade school training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in photovoltaic (PV) maintenance, including PV DC systems, AC medium-voltage systems, and network communications.

  • Technical Skills: Experience with SCADA, DAS, UPS systems, and electrical testing equipment such as thermal imaging cameras, IV curve tracers, and megohm (megger) testers.

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), industry design and construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Certifications: Valid driver's license required. OSHA 10-Hour Construction and NFPA 70E certifications are preferred but may be obtained after hire.

  • Professional Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday with an early morning start (typically 7:00AM). Participation in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

  • Travel: Ability to travel to project sites, including overnight travel as needed. Travel may account for approximately 50% of the role based on operational needs. A company vehicle may be available for business travel when applicable.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $18.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

  • Pay Schedule: Weekly pay.

  • Prevailing Wage: Opportunities to earn prevailing wage compensation may be available when assigned to qualifying projects.

  • Performance Bonus: Quarterly bonus potential based on company performance.

  • 401(k) Plan: Profit-sharing plan to help you save for retirement.
