Many employers provide on-the-job training, but familiarity with GPS navigation devices and, in some cases, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or DOT medical card may be advantageous. Many employers provide basic training on how to safely transport RVs. This is an independent contractor role, meaning drivers are responsible for fuel, maintenance, and other travel expenses. It can be a good opportunity for those looking to enter the transportation industry with minimal experience.

Over time, you’ll become more comfortable navigating different types of RVs and learning the best practices for safe and efficient transport. Employers typically support new drivers with training and guidance, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity for those interested in the industry.
