Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for various acute care units at our facility. This role offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including an enhanced 403B plan and medical coverage. Role of the RN Clinical Nurse

The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team, which includes both licensed and unlicensed caregivers. This team is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality, and safe patient care. The clinical environment is overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. Our practice framework is guided by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and are reinforced by our core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and to adhere to the nursing standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. They must implement the Scope of Practice and the Code of Ethics established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, RNs are expected to advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and striving for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
    • Conduct the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care, utilizing evidence-based practices and critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
    • Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (e.g., age, gender, health conditions) and acknowledges cultural diversity.
    • Engage with patients and their significant others appropriately, utilizing methods such as bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds to keep them informed and focused on their care goals.
    • Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care that aligns with the professional care delivery model, employing diverse communication methods.
    • Exhibit teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
    • Engage in performance improvement initiatives, supporting all stakeholders and promoting safe, quality patient care through research and shared governance.
  • Professional Development and Initiative:
    • Complete all required competency assessments and ongoing education, including population-specific training.
    • Act as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and foster a healthy work environment.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
    • Encourage evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care product evaluation.
    • Comply with all organizational policies and clinical competencies, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
    • Engage in data collection and consult with experts to address clinical questions using appropriate resources.
  • Resources and Support:
    • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
    • Collaborate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve optimal practice outcomes.
    • Support the efficient use of human and material resources.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (Single State) upon hire is required.
    • RN - Multi-state Compact upon hire is required.
    • Basic Life Support certification is required.
    • BLS Instructor certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Less than one year of experience is required, with completion of clinical hours from an accredited nursing program.
    • Direct patient care experience is preferred.
