This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule. You will primarily work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Our virtual team of professionals supports each other through regular check-ins, collaborative meetings, and shared resources, ensuring that you have everything you need to provide exceptional care to your clients.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health to determine their needs and collaborate with them to develop tailored treatment plans that promote healing and growth.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver effective counseling services, ensuring a safe and supportive virtual environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their challenges.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, documenting patients’ medical and psychological histories, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide a holistic approach to client care.
• Facilitate linkages to community-based services, advocating for families to ensure they have access to the resources they need beyond counseling.
• Provide education to other team members regarding clients’ psychosocial stressors and mental health needs, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
• Work in a crisis-oriented environment, responding appropriately to emergencies and ensuring clients receive immediate support as needed.

As a Telehealth Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and age groups facing an array of mental health challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and general mental health conditions. Your role will involve not only addressing clinical needs but also understanding and respecting the cultural contexts of your clients, promoting inclusivity and empathy in your approach.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in the state of California.
• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services with a focus on youth and families, including crisis intervention and treatment planning.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and online treatment modalities is beneficial, enhancing your ability to engage with clients effectively.

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting, with an understanding of the unique challenges and resources available in such environments.
• Background in trauma-informed care, emphasizing a compassionate approach to treatment that considers clients' past experiences.
• Expertise in behavioral health issues prevalent in our community, such as child maltreatment and domestic violence, will be advantageous.
