Genesis Vascular of Las Vegas (GVLV) is a division of Genesis Global Healthcare (GGHC) based in NJ. (GVLV) has a new outpatient clinic in Las Vegas, NV. All of our Genesis Vascular facilities across the nation specialize in vascular treatment for our patients, with a focus on peripheral arterial disease (PAD).GVLV is seeking an experienced, licensed, dynamic interventional radiologic technologist to build our team in Las Vegas.
Job Description
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Interventional Radiologic Technologist employs professional radiological imaging skills to ensure quality management of patients. The responsibilities include radiation safety, quality control, patient satisfaction, efficiency in scheduling patients, inventory management, positioning and imaging and ordering supplies with adherence to all American College of Radiology guidelines.
Perform such specialized radiographic examinations such as vascular "non-cardiac" angiographic, drainage, biopsies, nephrostomies, catheter insertions, vascular embolization, and other arterial procedures. During conduction of the interventional radiology procedures, these positions receive their direction from the physician in charge. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Knowledge of needles, catheters, sterile techniques and drugs needed in each exam. Knowledge of techniques procedures, use of equipment and office policies. Interpersonal communication skills a must. Ability to assess situations, consider alternatives and choose appropriate courses of action. Ability to establish priorities and organize work logically. Require excellent sterile techniques and experience assisting a vascular surgeon or IR doc in the cath lab or interventional suite.
Must have excellent positioning, communication, organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills. Willingness to be a team player.
Qualifications
Certifications Licensure:
-Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program that has AMA approval
-Must be ARRT certified, with specific licensure in Interventional Radiology
Education: Satisfactory completion of formal x-ray technology training program as specified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Experience: Minimum of One year as an x-ray technologist and two or more years as an interventional radiographer.
Experience/Skills:
-Minimum 2 years experience as an IR Tech
-BLS/ACLS CPR Certification
